"I Seek Not Mine Own Will, but the Will of the Father"

When we seek God's will, we follow a course in which there will be no failure. How comforting it is to know that as we seek and then obey God's will, He gives us the power to succeed. Sometimes we may think we are already seeking His will, but we still face what we call failure and we don't think we have success. He promises us that "if your eye be single to my glory, your whole bodies shall be filled with light and there shall be no darkness in you, and that body which is filled with light comprehendeth all things. Therefore, sanctify yourselves that your minds become single to God" (D&C 88:67-68). There are many worldly distractions that can keep us from our eye being single to His glory. We may not even quite understand how to decipher what His will would be for us. As we seek out these things through personal prayer and discuss Lorenzo Snow lesson #11 as a group this Sunday, I know that we will learn together how to have true success in this life through obedience to His will.
