A Calling

The Lord uses this term in His church when we are asked to serve in a particular capacity. HE is the one "calling" us to help Him. It might explain why He calls Himself a sheperd as the sheep in His flock will hear His call and come to Him. As women in the gospel, we have many "callings". One is from the Bishop and requires particular time and certain skills. Another is to be a visiting teacher. We have been "called". How do we answer His call? I do have a certain testimony that how we answer His call will reflect on how He answers ours!

Cooking 101

We have a new Enrichment Interest Group. We will meet the 2nd Thursday of every month. This month we will meet on June 11th at Esther Davis' home at 7:00pm. We will be making Summer Pasta Salads. We have had several requests for basic cooking in these tougher economic times, so come and learn and share your good ideas. Questions? Contact Esther Davis or Joanne Poulsen.

League of Extraordinary Reading

This month's theme is History.

Book #1: The 5,000 Year Leap by W. Cleon Skousen
Book #2: The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Bloom

Remember you only need to read one. But you're welcome to read both!

We will meet to discuss these books on July 9th at 7:30pm.

Happy reading!!!!
