I highly recommend that all who are interested come, even if you have not read the book. The discussions are stimulating and always leave me wanting to read the other books on the list that I didn't read. Did I mention that there is also food? :)

Is the author's name REALLY Corrie Ten Boom and not Ten Bloom?

I am enjoying 2 books by John McArthur who is heard on KCBI at 5 AM and 9 PM. First is "Twelve Extraordinary Women" about biblical ladies, their character, and the mores which caused them to act as they did. They are Eve, Sarah, Rahab, Ruth, Hannah, Mary, Anna, the Samaritan woman, Martha & Mary, Mary Magdalene, and Lydia.

The companion book I will start late in the fall is "Twelve Ordinary Men" about the characters of first apostles.

McArthur's research is detailed and wonderfully presented. His books are every bit as good as his radio broadcasts. -- Holley Rock
